For oily or acne-prone skin. A good facial moisturizer is absolutely central to natural skin health, whether your skin is dry, sensitive, normal or oily. With carefully chosen natural ingredients that suit your skin type, you can replace excess sebum with clean, beneficial oils that protect and nourish the skin.

1 tbs

(15 ml)

Organic jojoba oil

1 tsp

(5 ml)

Organic marula oil

1 tsp

(5 ml)

Organic tamaru oil

1 tsp

(5 ml)

non-GMO vitamin E

15 drops

Organic tea tree essential oil

Combine all ingredients.

JOJOBA oil is structurally and chemically very similar to human sebum. This enables it to trick the skin into halting its own natural oil production, making it especially good at balancing out oily skin. It will not clog pores, and as such can be used on acne-prone skin.

MARULA oil is highly nutritious, yet very light. One of the best sources for the fatty acids that help improve the skin’s elasticity, it has been used as a moisturizer for centuries in Southern Africa.

TAMANU oil has very powerful anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antibiotic properties, making it ideal for those with persistent acne. It is used in traditional Chinese medicine to treat rheumatism and skin infections.

VITAMIN E oil is a phenomenal alternative to synthetic preservatives. Its antioxidant properties will help prolong the shelf life of your serum and keep it from going rancid.

TEA TREE essential oil enjoys some serious antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory powers sure to benefit oily and acne-prone skin. However, it may be too harsh and drying on sensitive skin, so make sure to avoid it if that is your skin type.

TIP: Always remember to patch test any skincare product or ingredient before using a large amount – your skin matters!
